Service Charges Abolished

To improve the delivery system, the Malaysian government has abolished three types of application charges. The government has abolished three types of application charges in its efforts to improve delivery system, reduce red tape and ease public’s burden.

The abolished charges are for forms, processing and to obtain approval which ranged between RM1 and RM50. Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) Director General Datuk Normah Md Yusof said so far, 30 agencies had stopped collecting charges for the forms.

Normah said all government agencies are advised to provide free forms via their websites. On the other hand, agencies also are urged to widen their online services. Through this online service, all communities can easily get free forms very fast without dealing directly with the agencies.She said it is expected that all government agencies will widen their online services from time to time.
